Weigh-in.

Again I say it's been yet another week and boy has it gone fast. As normal as it is for this time of year, we have been busy with guests and social events, so I can't say that I have really tried at all in regards to my health. As I nervously jumped on the scales I was surprised to see that I had infact lost 300g. So I am almost back to my weight a couple of weeks ago.
Weight: 65.1 kilos
Seeing this figure has now restored my inspiration and as I have vowed to do this in baby steps, I have decided this week to try to only cut out a couple of things. The first thing that comes to mind to me is alcohol (I have been drinking a little too much lately), and also my daily bottle of V. I feel that if I do this as well as watching my meal sizes, I may be able to continue my journey and hopefully next week enjoy another loss on the scales.
Wish me luck.

Weigh-in.

Well, another week has gone by and this one has been particularly busy with guests staying and work also. No exercise has been done and I have drank a little bit too much alcohol. This has seen me put on 400g.
Weight: 65.4 kilos
It also may be due to the fact that it's coming up to TTOTM. Will try to be good this week.

Weigh-in.

Well, another week has gone by, and I must say, it hasn't been the most nutritionally balanced week. It's been more that I have been soo busy that I didn't have time to overindulge. I was extremely nervous about the weigh in this week and even thought about skipping it all together,
but I didn't.
Weight: 65.0 kilos
Slowly but surely is the key, or so they say. I am quite happy with my loss of 600g as I thought that I would've put on for sure. That brings my total loss to 3 kilos all up :).

Second week in and still going strong

Well it's been a pretty good week this week and I am happy with what I have accomplished. I am sticking to my not-too-strict approach and am thinking more about what I put in my mouth and new ways of improving my fitness. I am finding that this could definitely be something that I can keep doing for the rest of my life.
My check-to-see-how-I'm-going weigh in is tomorrow and I am a little excited to see how I went. But I am a little nervous about my first monthly weigh-in where I will once again take my measurements and compare them to last time. The ironic part of it all is the fact that it happens to fall on the day AFTER Mark's birthday. Does that mean no cake for me?
I will hopefully do myself proud and continue on my journey of good health and smart choices. Thanks to Weight Watchers for keeping me sane through this.
My inspiration at the moment is the wedding I have been invited to go to at the end of February. I bought a beautiful dress a year ago and have only worn it once. I am excited to see how I look in it and am hoping that I will be able to wear it with confidence, and make my husband want to show me off to the guests.
Once again I say, wish me luck.

One week in already

Well, Christmas and New Year is over and I am happy about it too. As fantastic as both days were, I am ready for life to settle down a little bit more.
The first week into the new year has seen that happen too. Mark and I have both been really good with our walks and I feel like I am starting to get back on track with my food choices too. I have cut out alcohol altogether and it seems to be working pretty well.
My more relaxed thinking towards my food - ie: going from calorie counting to eating a smaller portion of a healthy meal - seems to be working. I am deliberately putting less on my plate at dinner, instead of serving myself up as much as my husband and then regretting it later and I am only eating when I am hungry and stopping when I am full.
I am taking it one day at a time. Christmas had seen me put on weight and by new years day, I had managed to weigh a massive 68kgs (which I hadn't weighed since before I met mark almost 4 years ago). My weigh in was yesterday and I was back down to 66.5kgs. So I am seeing this as a start afresh from the beginning of my blog. Let us hope I can continue.
My next little goal is to try a put on a bit of muscle over the next few weeks. I am hoping this will help even out my weight rather than the constant yoyo that keeps on happening with it. Once again I will say, we will see.
