Christmas time...argh

It's definitely been a lot longer than I imagined before posts and I am a little disappointed with my efforts over the last few weeks but I am going to get back on track. I had all but given up until a few days ago when my one and only follower (my husband), asked me when I was going to do my next post as he liked to read what I had to say, awwww. He is being a fantastic support and has even taken up walking with me of an evening over the past few days. Hopefully this will continue.
Christmas is always a difficult time of year to begin a weight loss journey but I don't feel like I did too badly. I have the feeling that I gained a kilo but I am not going to record my final stats until the 16th of Jan. I feel this way that I am able to keep a proper check of my weight and measurements plus I am able to recover from any slip ups that I may encounter along the way.
I have also decided that I am not going to be as strict with my calorie counting and try to judge what I eat by what I feel (eg: when I am satisfied, when I am hungry etc.). We will see how this approach goes as I feel that this will be something that will be able to last a lifetime.
Wish me more luck.

Day Three

Going great guns again today, but will have to see as we are just about to go to my nephews birthday party this afternoon, I lllove cake :P. Plus it's bad luck not to eat someone elses birthday cake. I have limited my calories today (but still eating regularly), so that I can still have a good time tonight. I don't want to go overboard though.

First Hurdle

Today has been especially hard, and it's not over just yet. It's been really busy with the Christmas rush that all I wanted to do was sit down with a glass of champagne (or two) and relax. My mind was thinking for hours of ways to justify having one. I know that I am able to have one if I allow it in my calorie intake, but I find if I do, my healthy eating usually goes right out the door. So I feel like I need to eliminate all temptations for the time being.

Day Two

Yesterday was a great day. I stuck to my food and exercise plan to a tea. Bring on today, I hope that I can demonstrate the same disipline with todays meal plan. I am going from the saying 'one day at a time', or even one meal atm. Here is todays.

My Motivation

Okay, I love Miranda Kerr!!! And whenever the question comes up 'Who would you turn gay for?' It's her every time LOL. She's hot, and although I will never look exactly like her, it's nice to have something to aim towards.... plus, I think her bikini is cute and would love to buy one like this for next summer :D.

P.S. - Didn't walk to work today, the weather was way too hot, even at 2:45pm. But I did my aerobics video instead :).

The Decision

Okay, so Christmas time definitely isn't the ideal time for losing weight, or beginning the journey of a healthier me, but I am sick of excuses. I need to do this NOW.

I was right on track nearly four years ago, I was fit, happy, healthy and on the way to my final goal weight. That was until contentment decided to sweep me off my feet and back into the fridge, and to dinners, and parties and dates. This is when I met the love of my life and my (now) husband.

My amazing life just happened in a hurry and I realise now that I am slowly gaining weight, a little at a time, and every year is alot harder to get it off. So the time has come where something needs to be done. And it will. The journey starts here.
